When you crest the peak of a mountain and pause to catch your breath, the expansive vista offers something profound: perspective. It’s not often that we get to rise above the daily grind to remember how small we really are, and how big our God really is. There’s nothing like nature to reset our sense of wonder and remind us of the fragility of our perceived control. Wonder is a wonderful feeling and a wonder-full word whose meaning captures both the awe and anxiety of faith. Wonder is to admire the amazing, to muse on the mystery, to question with curiosity, and to discover through doubt. As Christian writers, there’s no better manifesto to encapsulate our calling. With our words, we are called to declare the works of the Lord, lead readers into a deeper understanding of God, cultivate wisdom with a childlike spirit, and wrestle with the difficult questions of faith. Wonder inspires a response. Will you write the words God is calling forth from you?
“The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy."
Psalms 65:8 NIV

WRITERS
Encouraging and equipping Christian writers to fulfill their God-given calling to write and publish

Is there a membership fee?
No, at this time, there is no membership fee required to participate in Wonder Writers. Donations are accepted to cover administrative expenses and materials.
Will the writing I submit be shared?
Writing submissions are shared only with other group members, who commit to confidentiality. We have guidelines to make this a safe environment where writers can feel free to share what God has put on their hearts.
How do I submit my work?
Submissions are shared with the group by uploading a Miscrosoft Word document to a shared Google Drive folder. Submissions are due one week ahead of the monthly meeting.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How It Works
What are the submission requirements?
Manuscripts should be 1500 words or fewer, with one-inch margins, twelve-point Times New Roman font, and double spacing. More information is provided in the guidelines we share with new members.
Does my writing need to be "Christian"?
The writing you submit doesn’t need to be overtly Christian. There are many ways to share biblical values, and we can glorify God with excellent writing and a Jesus-focused worldview, whether aimed for a Christian or secular audience. We do ask that you refrain from submitting writing that contains profanity, graphic violence or sex, or beliefs that directly contradict Scripture.
Do I have to submit every meeting?
No, you are not required to submit every meeting. However, to promote accountability, participants are expected to submit a piece of writing for critique at least once every quarter to remain active in the group. If you don't have any writing to submit but still wish to attend, you may submit a query (a question about writing or publishing) or attend as an auditor (not participating in critique of others' work).
